Watermelon jerky candy
Easily my favorite dehydrated snack so far
Ingredients
- 24 Ounces Watermelon Wegman's
Instructions
- Cut watermelon into thin 1/4 inch rectangle slices
- Added salt to half
- No need to pick out seeds (they are easy to remove after drying)
- Dehydrate at 135F for 13 hours
Notes
These are the most surprising dehydrated snack I’ve made so far. It looks like bacon and tastes like flattened watermelon cotton candy – or bubble gum (it’s hard to describe).
The salted tastes about the same as unsalted so next time I’ll try adding more salt. I might also try different seasonings but the plain ones were awesome by themselves.
